I know Donna Karan is an actual designer but i dont know if there is a difference between the two lines such as one being casual and the other formal?!?! i hope someone will be able to answer my question its been bugging me lately lol ;D|||The main collection, which includes ready-to-wear runway looks, is Donna Karan. DKNY refers to the low-end line of tee shirts, denim and mass-marketed sportswear. Both lines feature separates, sportswear, and formal, but the Donna Karan label is high fashion.
Also, Donna Karan does not design the DKNY line. And she oversees the designing process for the Donna Karan Collection. I don't think she does much designing these days; Donna Karan is the "designer" in name only.|||its the same thing :)|||DKNY is Donna Karan New York|||I think DKNY is mainly a jean collection...but im not that familiar with the designer...|||DKNY is the cheaper, mass marketed and produced line of clothing that goes to like department stores etc. Its not really done by Donna Karen she's just lent her name to it and oversees it. Donna Karen is much more expensive, it's designed by her and you see it in her runway shows.
