Don't we all join Lyengar in asking Donna Karan to stop the unholy practice of using rabbit fur in clothes.?

NEW DELHI (AFP) 鈥?Celebrated Indian yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar has written to US celebrity fashion designer Donna Karan calling on her to stop using rabbit fur in her clothes, a statement said.

Ninety-two-year-old Iyengar said he was urging Karan to join other top fashion designers -- including Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger -- who do not use fur in their designs.

"As a yoga practitioner, may I request you, on behalf of myself and my friends from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, to take a stand against using the fur of animals that is removed by the cruelest killing methods," Iyengar said in a letter.|||I agree with Lyengar. Do you know what they do to these animals? They skin them alive. The poor little things struggle in so much pain to get away from the monster who's torturing them, and they can't escape. All so some rich bish can wear a friggin coat. If anyone wants to go there about the cows, cows aren't skinned alive are they? But they can't kill the animals in a humane way, that would be too costly and ruin the precious fur.|||It's an overall ridiculous practice. Even if you don't care about rabbits/animals, if any of them get out (and trust me, some do!), it wreaks havoc on local ecosystems with invasive species. Say goodbye to hunting for birds who usually hide in brush!|||I don't buy fur or leather. In India they do horrible things to the cows that go into making leather things. Ironic.|||Lets hope he's successful.

Its never ok to be cruel to an animal just for fashion.|||She's free to use it if she wants, you're free to not wear it if you don't want to.
