but i don't have a pattern and i cannot make this dress without some guidance. anybdy find a dress pattern simlar?|||You need to go to your local fabric store. Look for patterns that are fitted and strapless, preferably with a skirt that has a seam in a similar place for the leg slit. It shouldn't be terribly har to find. This is a couture dress, so you are not going to find a pattern that looks exactly like it. Otherwise, Megan Fox wouldn't have paid thousands of dollars for it. This is a gown that would have hidden support(corseting) inside. It depends on how much sewing expertize you have, but if you are a novice, I would not recommend this as a first project.

If you decide to go for it however... Do not cut out your pattern on your final fabric until you workout how the drape is going to be attached.

Cut the normal pattern out of something like plain white muslin. It's cheap...or if you have enough random fabric laying around that you don't care about, use that. You can always use this as the liner if it comes down to it. Baste the pieces to together. then take extra fabric and pin and drape to your desired effect. Trim the excess fabric away. Unpin, lay out, and trim up the edges to make more uniform. Take the basted pattern dress apart. if there are pieces, like the skirt that you can join together, do so. Then cut out of your good fabric.

If you have no idea how to do boning for a corset or the idea gives you the willies, you can attach the bodice of the dress to a strapless body shaper. Probably one with molded cups to pull off this look, unless you've got the bod of Megan Fox. In which case, you could probably wear a burlap sack and still have hordes of drooling boys trailing behind you. If not, don't forget the gear. Thank God for modern underwear technology.

PS Even though you have the perfect fabric, you may freak out and end up in the fetal position on the floor. Consider visiting thrift stores and seeing if you can find two dresses made of the same material. Sometimes people drop off the dreaded bridesmaid dresses at Goodwills and Salvation Armies after weddings. They are often different sizes but identical fabric. I enjoy making a good franken-dress. Taking the pieces off of one to add to another with often fabulous results. It is dirt cheap and fun.

Have Fun.

Good Luck, Hon!|||Pattern companies have web sites, you could check their catalog on line (you might be able to get a cheaper price if the patterns are on sale at a fabric store). The pattern will have step by step instructions inside the envelope.
