Maybe it's just me, but are clothes uglier on models than celebs/'normal' people?

For example, Debra Messing (she's not exactly stick-thin) in Donna Karen: http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2008/04/in-debra-messings-closet-donna-karan.html

Is it because models are so thin, it's unrealistic to a point where it's ugly? I mean, Debra Messing looks rather healthy, compared to the other female.|||Different clothes are normally designed to hand just right on different people. There's this idea that being thin means you can afford not to eat, or something.

It actually all started with twiggy in the 60s; before that every one wanted to look like marilyn monroe. Sure, the skinny looks unnatural n even freakish, but its the fashion. Although the clothes are meant to be worn by regular janes, they gotta be modeled by freaks so you think "hmm, I look better in that than the models!"|||thin has been out since the 90's.

only the super couture use really thin models, and that's only b/c designers need super thing models to fit in their prototype clothes (which are often small, like a four, to use less fabric and fulfill the prototype requirements).

so it's not so much about being skinny, more like fitting into the clothes.
