Fashion Designers?

How does someone become a famous fashion designer?

Like Donna Karan, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors etc.|||Fashion scouts, I suppose. Alexander McQueen was discovered by a woman named Isabella Blow, who recently passed away.|||have amazing workk.|||Basically they just started designing clothes in the young ages so then their clothes and clothing line become famous by their designing and talented skill and popular over times and plus their label's reputation grown wider and more populous. Example like Coco Chanel, even thought she died but her label is still keep going and even more famous and legendary.|||Well, i want to be one too and I just joined a magazine fashion drawing contest. I think you should go to school I guess, put all your best work together to make a portfolio and then apply to a really good fashion and design or art school. Or... what im doing is im going into business, taking a entrepreneurship(my school is top 5 in country)/finance major, then I will make clothes and sell them using my business experience and expand from there. Good luck! I shouldnt be telling you this ur my future competition lol!|||go to a giid fahsion college to become a deigner

then start making awesome clothes that celebrities would wear. they usually like vintage/couture stuff. open up shops in heavly populated places. as soon as one celeb buys your clothes youll get bigger and bigger and then go international . then youre clothes'll be in magazines and fashion shows alll over the world. good luck. though its not as easy as it seems.|||Well you have to design clothes and maybe find a fashion industry that you might be able to send your designs to. and then work your way up. then start your own buisness and design really cool clothes|||They get well known by there work.|||You work hard. First you offer to work at a fashion store, and make sure you get the boss to really like you, always be there on time, treat the customers well, even offer to work extra. Then you ask if they need help or someone to be their (secretary, co-designer etc.) just make sure you are moving UP in the world of 'your job'. Then offer some really cute, in-style looking designs for outfits, shoes, shirts etc. Hopefully your boss will like them. Keep trying. Then, over time you will hopefully have made enough money and designs that you can start your own business. Advertise it, and try to get a magazine or something to write about it. Use expensive fabrics, but price them relatively high so you can make a profit. The key is time. It is not always that simple though, just keep working at it.|||put together a portfolio of finished work as well as concept sketches. seek out fashion magazine editors and reviewers. also helps to have a degree in design
